Message to Parents and Students:
Thank you very much for welcoming me into your family! I feel so blessed to start my teaching career in a place that so values a personal relationship with Christ and incorporates that into the curriculum. Thank you for your support and encouragement and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you!
Personal Testimony:
Ever since I was born, my parents had instilled in me the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and when I was about 5 years old, I received Christ as my Savior. It has been the best decision of my life, but it hasn’t been easy. Jr. High was an especially difficult time with very little support from classmates and being constantly teased for my faith, but God was faithful during this time and I learned that God’s strength and power could get me through any hardship. Following my Jr. high graduation, our family looked to move closer to First Baptist Church and through a series of remarkable events, God paved the way for our family to move to O’Fallon. I continued to grow in my faith during high school and eventually made my way to Southwest Baptist University where I graduated from in 2011. During this time, God began teaching me what it means to be a man of God and what it means to rest in Him. I am by no means a perfect person, but I follow a perfect God who reminds me on a daily basis of His sacrifice and of my purpose to serve others.
Responsibilities and Goals:
As a student and teacher of history, my goal is to convey the importance of viewing history as a story line that God has put into motion and that events in history are there to ultimately glorify God’s sovereignty. From Creation to the present, we can see evidence of God working in the lives of people and using events in their lives to point to His perfect will. My hope is that in realizing this truth, students and parents alike will gain an appreciation and awe of what God has done, is doing, and is going to do in their lives and in the lives of others.
