Bible: Memory Verse-- Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

We have studied the story of Jericho.

Phonics: Our newest word is “off”. We are working on ending blends. –ump, -end

Reading: Phonics story—The Cup

Reading story: Cowboy Jim and Clip

Reminder: I will be taking an oral reading grade for our friends this semester, so make sure you are practicing at home.

Math: Shapes (3 dimensional-cube, sphere, cone, cylinder), and shapes (circle, rectangle, square, triangle)

Handwriting: We are now taking grades on our handwriting page. In first grade, they do take handwriting grades, so I am trying to prepare them for that. I allow them to correct 2 times before a grade is assessed. I am watching how the letters are formed, not perfection. J
