McGraw Hill’s,
Viva el espanol!, Spanish grade school curriculum is appropriate
for an emergent reader in Level 1. This material, initially
implemented, can be used for any age in elementary school. Viva
el espanol! contains three levels starting at an emergent reader
level and continuing to approximately a 4-6 grade
reading level. This is done in a mastery approach and each
level builds upon the previous.
The program uses
exciting CD/audio tapes, a variety of visual aid pictures,
puppets, and a series of oral and written exercises to present
and reinforce lesson material. Children will have fun with the
stories and adventures as they learn to speak some basic Spanish
in primary grades, increasing in their abilities as they
advance.
