I believe all children are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Each one is precious and uniquely created by God; each one is worthy of my best effort.  I believe that parent involvement is a crucial component of academic success and appreciate all your efforts to help your child learn and grow. I look forward to an exciting year of learning.
Personal Testimony

I grew up in a Christian family and have been active in church all my life.  My personal relationship with Christ really began to grow when my husband and I moved to the D.C. area.  I had a new baby, my husband left for training and I had no friends.  I missed my mamma.  I am from the South, it was cold up there.  God was my only friend; He began to speak to my heart through the Experiencing God Bible Study by Henry Blackaby.  I’ve been active in several prayer groups and strongly believe in the power of prayer.  Several moves later we ended up in O’Fallon and started attending First Baptist.  I first became active in the Women’s ministry, but God had other plans.  He shifted me into teaching young children and I found the perfect fit.  Teaching is an absolute joy for me. I love children and I love being in the classroom.

General Goals and Responsibilities
My responsibilities are to cover the Illinois Learning Standards and teach the learning objectives in our curriculum.  My primary heart goal for my classroom is that each child develops a strong, daily habit of Bible study and a deeply personal prayer life.
